This game is definitely fun and creative, mixing Tetris with rogue-like mechanics. However, the difficulty of the enemies is insanely high. I was stuck on level 2 for a half hour, dying in a mere second when hit, wondering if I was doing something wrong with combat. Once you manage to level up a few times, it becomes much easier, but the difficulty needs to be lowered a bit, at least for the first couple of levels.. I think that while this is a novel idea for a game, it ultimately doesn't pay off. I'm not sure if it is the case that it CAN'T pay off, or just that the game mechanics are poorly designed. The roguelike / RPG elements are fine, but the room plaement is frustrating. The main issue is that each piece has random walls on the outsides of the piece. So not only are you trying to tetris room tiles into eachother, but you're often blocking off entire sectios of the map from yourself and each other. Anything to add consistency to room draws would help make this less annoying, or maybe if you had the means to knock down walls. The RPG elements are kind of boring as well. I may have just not figured it out, but it doesn't appear that there is much of concequence you carry between dungeons. All items appear to be one-use items and can be sold for gold outside of dungeons, but gold appears to be mostly useless. This makes the rpg elements come off as tacked-on instead of integral to the gameplay. Lastly, this type of game lends itself well to being controlled with a gamepad. Unfortunately, gamepad controls do not appear to be fully fleshed out, so you might as well not bother. Ultimately i'd say if you're really into actual roguelike games and you've played everything else, this might be a fun game to pick up. Otherwise, if you have any other option, i'd steer clear.. Interesting game and concept, but game play is very same-y and some levels are just tedious. As it is, would not recommend.. This isn't exactly what you would call a bad game, but my problems with it unfortunately make it hard for me to recommend. Fundamentally a good concept. My first main problem is that you can't rotate blocks. I've had countless strings of absolutely useless dungeon blocks on numerous occasions that make it difficult to build in any cohesive manner. There's no way to check the controls, and revisiting the earlier levels didn't really help much either in case i missed it. There's luck of the draw, and then there's desperately trying not to seal yourself in an intraversable tomb. Astral Teleport is a thing, but sacrificing health puts me at risk for problem number 2. That problem being, some goals are just an outright near impossible endurance test. I gave up in Act 2, where you have to kill 20 elite enemies. Good luck even trying to find 20. My first issue will have already caused major problems well before then. Every regular enemy encountered will still be a tax on your health, so your overall luck is just a slowly burning candle that will either run out, or be snuffed after you've lost your patience. Most of the cards you can find are pretty useful, but some still feel like a drop in the bucket, even when fully upgraded. I managed to find all but two or three and maxed them out, so I have a reasonable idea. Overall, it can be a fun little time waster, but not a very satisfying one in the end. I'm glad I bought it during a sale.. This game seemed fun while looking at the idea behind it. After I bought it, I saw that it was not so. I feel that the game is much too difficult, and there is no way around it. The cards and abilities you get don't feel like they do all that much, and the generation of the dungeons is just strange (even when you ARE the one that is creating it.) I do not recommend this game. Tetris + Rogue-lite = Strangely fun mix. Love this game so much!. good for TERTIS MIX ROGUE-like element, i had play forgot the time, you need to plan tile to lay down to let your charater move along dungeon like tertis to let achieve in each level goal. RPG rogue-like element came along your travel in dugeon your just build. nice little one game.
