About This Game

Dig Dog is an action roguelike platformer. Dig to discover treasure, adventure and bones! Jump, dash, stomp and dig your way through a strange world inhabited by stranger creatures.

Simple, expressive control scheme – Run, dig, drop, jump or dash using only three buttons! Controllers and Keyboards supported.

Play both Game Modes:

Bone Hunt – The roguelike treasure hunt. Dig for bones across four worlds of increasing difficulty. Battle enemies above perilous cliffs and sunken desert caves. Die a lot.

Free Dig – An endless digging experience. Dig through an infinite set of levels with minor challenge and no game overs. Progress is saved.

Forge your own path as you creatively tunnel through each level.
Travel to new worlds! Uncover stranger and more dangerous environments.
Hunt for bones and treasure as you dive deeper.
Discover shops and buy items, but don't get too greedy!
A thumpin’ 8-bit soundtrack you’ll surely dig.

Simple, cute, fun.

No more needs to be said.. The game is ok, but the mountain area is no fun.. Cute and plays nicely. Difficult but fair. All the makings of a sweet game and totally worth the price.. A game about guiding a dog to his drug stash and going wild. That's the best description I can describe this addicting simple roguelike. Thank you Jeff Gerstmann for mentioning this game.. I picked this up intending to play for a few minutes and blah blah blah you've heard this before blah blah blah fnord blah.

Also, out of dozens and dozens of deaths as I learned the mechanics and necessary tactics, about two felt somewhat unfair. All the rest got filed under "yeah, okay, I should have approached that differently." This is a remarkable achievement.. It's a minimalistic roguelike with a cute theme! But that's about it. There's no depth to it, and I found the controls to be incredibly awkward. They're so awkward in fact, that I didn't want to play for any longer than 10 minutes... I can't recommend this game even for 3 dollars.. For three dollars is did not expect this game to be so addicting and enjoyable. It just came out so i know the game isn't going to be perfect. One function I would add in the game would being able to change the controls. It is a small thing that I could live without but it would be nice. Another thing would be to add an online multiplayer with friends. I know it is a hard thing to do but I think you can do it. Finally more gamemodes would be nice although the current ones are pretty great. Thanks for this nice game and I hope it does well.. It's a really simple arcade game that doesn't work for me. The controls don't work how I expect them to and it makes it very difficult to dig down. The new mechanics that are introduced for the enemies don't really change much either. The shop doesn't really change how to play or improve the game in a meaningful way. It can be skipped entirely.

I can say the levels do get generated well and the eye color on the enemies to show what they drop is cute. Dig Dog is a well made game that doesn't go far enough to keep it interesting. For some reason I always feel frustration when playing.. Get this game you won't regret it! Well worth it's asking price- it's a genuine arcade experience.
