About This Game

Defenders of Ekron in an Adventure/Shmup game that mixes the classic action of a Shmup and the exploration of an Adventure game, including dungeons and a sci-fi experience. The game kept surprising me with new mechanics as I progressed, the variety in the level design is really cool.

The game works very good, the gameplay feels nice but oh man it is hard, even the tutorial was hard to complete.
The story is hard to follow so far, the text dialog during gameplay go too fast and I can't read them all sometimes, in fact everything goes quite fast, looking at the trailers it seems as it the game was supposed to be slower, is that a bug on my end?

I recommend this game in any case, it is beautiful and feels great to play it, just remember is quite hardcore!. Fun nostalgic action with a little bit of adventure \/ exploration. Great value!. I just got this game and it's amazing, full of action, different mechanics, different enemies, a variety of characters and background, can't wait to discover more about the game. Makes you think instead of just shoot.

It's crashing on New Game though, but I can continue my current play through with no problem. So, as long as it's not giving me problems to continue my story, it's ok. I hope they fix it though.

I had problems to enjoy it with the sticks, since it requires a very good aim, but with keyboard+mouse, it's extremely enjoyable (for me).. Great tribute to an old genre with innovative mechanics and beautiful art.

Totally recomended, specially if you want a good challenge.
