What is Chamber of Darkness?

Chamber of Darkness is a beat 'em up game, with some platforming elements.
You play as a fearsome knight, looking for a way to break the curse of the spear that will absorb the knight's body if not fed by killing other creatures.

The main mechanics:

Actions with the spear like attacking or using abilities cost HP depending on what ability you use, and you regain the used HP by landing a successful hit.
Enemies have a chance to parry your attacks and reflect your projectiles.
You can choose up to 3 abilities before the start of the level.

Wow yet another negative review. This game for the most part the negativity comes from how badly the game responds to player inputs ALL of my deaths were due to the fact the game refused to read my attack inputs and this happened plenty of times. This is made worse by the fact that jumping is not a button but instead up on the control pad. So avoid this game.. A very basic but fun game, plus the developer is active, always a good sign.. This game is a little bit booped in the volkswagon bug.. I didin't expect this game to be that solid actually, it impressed me.
I like the small graphical details here and there like the holes in the walls with eyes in them looking left and right, the green veins on walls that pulse, paintings and logos that made the game look alive a little bit.
The gameplay was really enjoyable, I was able to walkthrough the entire game but unfortunatly it crashed after I beat the final boss after three or four tries.

For a game that developed by one person it really offers a lot and my final verdict will be 8.7/10!. Chamber of Darknes is platform game made by only one person that communicate with players and hes friendly thats what i like about him. But lets go to gane. You playing as knigt and your task is to kill all monsters and main boss. Main campaign can be done in hour or two because some glitches but they were fixed soo it wont ve that hard now. But dont worry about the time n the campaign there are lot of things to do. You can play challenges like survival mode and unlock speels. There are more than 10 speels in total and they are great. You can even play local multiplayer with your friends here. I think its one of the best games i played. I would recommend it to anyone. Its funny and enjoyable.. It isn't quite Shovel Knight, but it has some potential. Having a spear wielding knight using his own health in order to attack is quite an interesting mechanic, that makes every attack count.
