Does this with your arms at the side at first, then, when you get stronger, hold your arms straight above your head to make the exercise more difficult. The plank. Lie face down on the floor and get into a position as if you are at the top of a press up, just about to lower your chest to the floor. Your arms, back and legs should be straight with no sagging in the middle. Hold this position for 30 seconds or for as long as you can. Add time as you gain in strength. If the normal press up position proves too difficult do the exercise with your forearms on the floor, your weight resting on your elbows and toes.
