As the opening is weakened, the contents of the stomach can readily traverse the tube once more in backward movement. So try to avoid fatty foods in order to prevent incidence of heartburn.

This will probably come as a shock to you, given that most people are unaware that they are doing this in their diet, and assuming that it's OK since basically most of these combinations aren't a part of the unhealthy bunch (processed or junk foods).
