Hormones are what tells your metabolism at what Paleohacks Cookbooks Review rate it should digest and break down food to burn your fat. With a high level of Estrogen your metabolism will store fat.You can combat Estrogen with Testosterone. Estrogen is the reason why your body stores fat in the lower body region. What you need to do is produce more Testosterone. This is done through Density Training. Density training can be defined as the amount of work you do in a given amount of time during a training session. To increase density, you can do more exercise such as sets, reps, or anything to that effect. Also you could do the same amount of exercise but decrease the length of time you have to finish the routine.

You certainly can't trust the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council's guidelines either. Firstly they don't know the difference between a cereal and something manufactured with flour. Secondly their serving sizes are more designed for Tour de France riders than people sitting in an office all day. Their guidelines are written by the same dieticians who think the glycemic index concept is the next best thing since sliced bread!

Admittedly I have a pretty iron-clad willpower. I'm not superhuman though and I have failed countless times at being strict, and I will sympathise with any dieter that has ever found themselves hopelessly overeating at any given mealtime. Whether its cooking more than you need and eating it all, coming back for seconds and poking your head into the fridge, or just scoffing some kind of dessert afterwards. Yes you. In each case we question "why did I do that" or if you are a bit more committed and rational: "Was that really worth it" a minute on the lips.. a lifetime on the... etc etc. Well, hunger pangs and the urge to eat are mainly controlled by powerful hormones, which tell our brains to raise that fork....again.... and again.

Our bodies are very clever and evolution has provided these numerous hormones to control our metabolism and bodyweight regulation. One such hormone, which regulates hunger is called Ghrelin 1. It is the sister/brother to Leptin - which regulates satiation. More ghrelin = more hungry. More leptin = more satiated satisfied/full. It would be a poor show to leave out Leptin from this discussion entirely as they do work interdependently, so more about Leptin next time.
Stress is a serious health problem and contributes to several health ailments. When people are stressed out, they tend to eat unhealthy foods. These foods are sometimes referred to as "comfort foods." The pleasure associated with eating these foods, creates an illusion that these foods are solving the problem which they do not. Comfort foods do nothing more than momentarily distract your attention from the stressful situation.
