"Bigg Boy" Simms and his gang always throw the flashiest parties with the best drugs. When Bigg's supply runs dry resulting in serious debt, the collectors threaten his girlfriend Julia's life and leave him desperate for a way out. Anthony, (Bigg's right-hand man) convinces him that the "way" is to start dealing a different kind of lucrative product - girls. The plan unravels quickly when Julia unknowingly becomes involved and a deadly cat-and-mouse game is sparked, forcing everyone to pick a side or face the consequences. A take on the Faustian Bargain, 'A Devil's Game' is a suspense thriller / crime drama that intricately explores the gray area between good and evil, and the personal price for which one can be bought.
A middle class drug dealer starts sex-trafficking to pull his gang out of debt. When a British black-ops mom comes after her daughter, all hell breaks loose. Can she save her daughter before she's smuggled into Mexico?
I love films like these. Low-budget, raw, gritty, great story line. This thriller is amazing; I watched it literally on the edge of my seat the whole time. Written well, directed well. For what the cast and crew had to work I think they did a fine job. Even the character names. Bigg Boy, for example. Reminds me of how big boy decisions have big boy consequences. This movie is a not-so-gentle reminder of how easy it is to get caught up in A Devil's Game. Casting did a nice job in this film. Army Boy (Jeremy Andorfer-Lopez) and Bigg Boy (Will Leon) kill it! The chemistry between the characters is real and ever-present, and I hope they figure a way to bring everyone back for the sequel! One of the best low-budget films I've seen.
A DEVIL'S GAME is a lame attempt to shoot a murky thriller on an indie budget. The story is about sex trafficking, a serious topic, not that you'd know by the level of ineptitude on display here. A quite laughable 'special forces' trained woman tries to save a teenager from being smuggled abroad, leading to a handful of lame action scenes and wooden acting all over the place. There's really no reason to switch on.
