If you've ever gotten a yeast infection or athlete's foot, you may not have realised that you simply really had a skin fungus. A fungus is a cluster of organisms that build spores. Fungi, the word for more than one fungus, live most everywhere and sometimes don’t cause infections or skin growths. But, you may sometimes get plant growths on your skin, like ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, or vaginal yeast infection. Don't worry. Fungal infections on the skin are not severe and don’t sometimes cause significant hurt or injury.
