Removal of the cataracts is very basic and quick, but it can only be carried out once your eye has fully recovered.It is also important to note that if you are having surgery for macular hole, you will not be allowed to travel by air for a few months. Also an interesting fact, that if you have a macular hole that develops in one eye, you are at a higher risk of a hole developing in the other eye at some point in your life.
