Seizures occur when there is a drastic increase in electrical activity of the brain. Recently, there is a scientific link to how CBD actually possesses anticonvulsant properties, according to popular belief throughout this time. The New England Journal of Medicine tested the effect of CBD in young adult patients with Dravet syndrome. Dravet syndrome is a rare type of epilepsy that is occasionally also induced with fever. Patients who took part in the trial reduced their frequency of attacks by almost 40%.
